The Sarasota Farmers Market was established in 1979. The market continues its tradition of serving the community with local produce, plants, prepared foods, and artisans.

We currently have a full market that includes 70+ vendors and 5,000 square feet of produce and plants.

Free Morning Yoga Classes at the Market Begin May 19th
Free yoga classes will be offered to Market patrons from 8 - 9 a.m on State Street, beginning May 19.
Instructor Andrea Dombrowski, who will lead the class, is a registered yoga teacher, personal trainer, swim instructor and a life long competitive athlete who brings enormous knowledge and enthusiasm for movement to her students. Throughout her career in physical fitness and business, she has been a motivating force and inspirational leader for individuals to find and be their “best-self ” through the combination of yoga and physical activity.Andrea is a member of Yoga Alliance and IDEA, and has registrations in yoga, personal training, swim instruction and life guarding.

The SVFM is a non-profit organization committed to continuing the 30-year tradition of enhancing and improving the quality of life in Sarasota. Our mission is to create a social opportunity for residents and visitors to gather and interact, to bring foot traffic to downtown Sarasota sustaining the economic viability of the entire downtown area, and to provide a venue for other not for profit organizations benefiting Sarasota. Inherent in our mission is educating consumers and sharing knowledge about the products and services of local farmers, local businesses, and local artisans.
